The short version

On Amazon, the customer is Amazon's, not yours. You cannot email them, you cannot build a relationship, and you cannot move them if your account is ever frozen. The fix is to build a direct channel you own, your own store, alongside the marketplaces, so you keep the customer relationship and are never one policy change away from losing everything.
